It is important how we move all day long. Especially outside of the gym. The gym is just a place where you can learn proper human movements. The rest of the time you should be aware of how you execute them. Even if you are on the best program to strengthen your weak back muscles from too much sitting, it doesn’t do any good if you don’t pay attention what you are doing the rest of the time. Especially these days, where kids (and adults too) are spending so much time using a smartphone. You don’t want to walk around in a hunched position all day long hunting Pokémons 😉
3 steps how to best hold the smartphone:
- Shoulders back (and in external rotation)
- Head neutral (ears above the shoulders)
- Phone straight in front of the face (biceps shows to the ceiling)
Try to implement these easy steps next time you use your phone (I guess now when you read this).
